In Relation To My Title....

The name of this Blog is Time To Keep it Real for a reason and I'm bout to keep it real as i can bare with me...

Lyman Richardson my father of 23 yrs I haven't seen you in 10 years. You showed me how to hit a woman. You showed me how to not raise my kids. Maybe it was the child support b/c you couldn't even show up for my Pre-k graduation. Daddy do you want to know something? When i got that back pay child support check in the mail i gave it all to mom b/c i wanted your time not your money. Driving drunk while all 3 of your sons in the car. I love you Lyman for showing me how not to keep a promise. How to put the blame on my baby mother if the kids ask why I'm not around. Thank you dad for leaving me and your 2 sons outside at 11 at night to do drugs. Thank you dad for lying to me over and over. Thank you dad for saying that i was your pride and joy ! Thank you dad for calling me when you found out that i was married with a child but I haven't heard from you since. Cuss words couldn't describe you. I tried to find a synonym that fit you but you are more than one word. After all this i forgave you whole heartily and i will never hold a grudge. But you're not a "FATHER" AND THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME WHAT "NOT" TO DO AS ONE...

damn...thats intense.. especially if you actually read it to your pops. He'd probably feel like a dirt bag. 0_o

Well, I see that you turned out to be a good father to your adorable child.

That's... wow.
Well, now you know that you can are the better father and you will always be there for your kid. You will do the "fatherly things" your own father failed to do.

Aw, I'm sorry about your father. But it definitely sounds like you took that step up and are becoming everything your father wasn't for your kids ... which is what counts in the end.

Yeah, Chanel Iman has been on the modeling scene for about three years now (she was 15 when she started) and her look is so unique, from her black and Korean roots. The highest-end department store near me is Macy's! Haha, it's lame.

peace&love.

I love the end. That's right, break that cycle..Time--that's all I wanted from my dad. Never got it. I don't hate him but I stopped trying to mend that relationship. Prob the reason I have so many probs with men. Dang, you gave me a post idea lol

Good one. I wrote a poem similar to this saying thank you to my molesting step father.

Thanks for sharing!

Two words for your "father"

SPERM DONOR. And that's about as good as you can say about it

I'm speechless. When you say "Keep it Real," you definitely kept it real, and I am honestly happy you did. It's a cathartic experience to just get your feelings out there sometimes, and no one's life is perfect. So many children today are experiencing similar problems with their father and it hurts. But the best thing to do is strive to be better than those that have let you down.
